I agree it's not fair. I would hate to be the guy in that position.
Some people believe that abortion is murder, so you would be asking her to either commit murder or pay for the "mistake" alone. Not a great option. There is probably a reasonable solution, but I don't think that's it. Maybe something like equal custody with no child support if the baby is born. Even that isn't fair though.
