My impression is that it ended up better than it appeared to be going. Which is somewhat faint praise.

I predicted that if Sitake were to be able to keep his job after this season, step #1 was to have a good recruiting class going into the Big 12. I think he's done just enough that he hasn't failed in that regard.

Step #2 is to have a respectable first season in the Big 12. If he fails in this, recruiting will suffer after next season, and he goes into Big 12 seasion #2 with I think all the chips on the table.
