I see a bald eagle on my way to work quite frequently. He/she hangs out in a tree just above a bridge I cross going over the Sacramento river. I've also seen several bald eagles at Shasta Lake. Also at Shasta Lake I've seen a black bear swimming across while we were wakeboarding. We followed it all the way across and he chose to exit near a steep rocky cliff. He scrambled up the cliff like it was nothing, a very cool sight.

Bluegoose and I have seen coyotes cross just in front of us on our runs and I've seen several while I was out biking. I've seen Moose and Elk in a few spots around the country. I've seen large herds of antelope while crossing the Nevada desert. Like Waters, I've seen a bobcat on a biketrail. It was not afraid of me at all and just kind of sauntered away as I approached.

I've never seen a mountain lion even though there are tons of them out here. I suppose not seeing one is a good thing.
