Beck sucked
I was really hoping that Beck would have a breakout season this year. He almost won the starting job at the beginning of the season. Then when Bad Rex made his appearance, the reins were handed over to Beck. The offense was shorthanded with very little in the way of weapons, but frankly, Beck looked very subpar. In some ways reminded me of Heaps. No playmaking ability, shaky in the pocket. He did not seize the opportunity, and now it is clear that Grossman, despite his many handicaps, is a better QB for the Skins than Beck.
I think the last door just shut for Beck. He will never be anything but a backup from this point out. The best he can hope for is to be pressed into service due to an injury.
It's disappointing, but not unexpected.
