As I have said before, Ricky Johns was the leading scorer in New York city hoops. He was first team all Bronx. On top of that, he was 2nd team JC all American. I think he was mis-used by Giac and we saw what he could do, but I think most would consider him a pretty good player but not all conference. It will be interesting to see how Jimmer does, and maybe he will surprise as a fresh, but I wouldn't be expecting much out of him the first year.

Ricky Johns was not the high school player that Jimmer was.
Jimmer is more athletic than Austin Ainge. He will be a similar player to Trent Whiting and Nathan Call. His high school is I think the second largest size in NY State.
I don't think he is the answer next year, but I think he is the future. I don't think BYU will have an answer next year. However, I think Fredette as an experienced sophmore and Cummard, Plaisted and JTav as upperclass will give BYU another great shot at that elusive NCAA tourney win in 2009.
