And, Arch, if you only just stopped watching when Americans stopped winning, you must not have stopped THAT long ago. The Sampras/Agassi years are not that long ago. Anyway, two American men have had fairly big breakthroughs in the last year or so, Mardy Fish and John Isner. Of course, Isner lost on the first day yesterday. . . as did Venus. And then you have the Bryan brothers. But part of the beauty of tennis is that because it's such an individual sport, you can have favorites from all around the world. You all are missing out.
