Fus: I have a question for your football buddies:

We all want to be optimistic and excited about the upcoming season. We are optimistic every year at this time. Every fall, before the season starts, we hear the players say they are more unified than the previous year, the "cancers" are gone, they're in better shape, they're aggressive, etc. Yet, the last three seasons, as the season wears on, there come to light things suggesting that they were overly optimistic.

Why is this year different than last year? (This is not a critical question - I want to believe!)
