Did you say "suspended"? Um....that is assuming you don't have a Michelin All Season Radial tire circling your midsection like I do.
My cycling goal right now is to wear a large cycling jersey, and have it 'flap' in the wind as ride.
As far as your wife and/or female riders with bibs...that would seem to be to be even MORE uncofortable as it would seem to really annoy on a females upper body. I don't blame her for that.
