This week's issue of Newsweek is predicting that it will be an "instant classic". As I posted before, the combination of Coen Brothers and McCarthy seems like perfection to me. Can't wait to see it.

I'm not big on the silly comedies of Coen Brothers but love Fargo. This should be more like Fargo than Oh Brother.

Fargo is the only Coen bros. that I could not stand. Love the rest. But I have never seen Hudsucker Proxy.

That's weird. Fargo was outstanding, and probably their most highly acclaimed movie.

I didn't like Hudsucker Proxy too much. Nor did I like Barton Fink.

I like the comedies Oh Brother, Raising Arizona, Intolerable Cruelty. They're all cut out of the same cloth. They're cute and fun. But they don't blow me away like Fargo does. Fargo's brilliant. It's on my all time top 10 list.

"Cute and fun"? You're killing me, Jay. Oh Brother is based on the Odyssey by Homer and features brilliant dialog and music. Cute hardly seems to apply here. But to each his own, I suppose.
