I'm happy to announce and concede that Steelblue has won the 2nd halftime whiffleball home run derby. With several shots that approached 105 feet, it wasn't really much of a contest. Everything I hit pulled left into the pear trees.

On top of that, he also won the sand wedge driving contest into the field behind my house, nearly hitting the neighbor's house almost 200 yards away.

A true 2-sport athlete.

Yeah, well I also had the distinction of actually striking out while the ball was placed on a tee. It seems when I'm swinging for the fence like Happy Gilmore with a 2 foot bat I tend to take my eyes off of the ball.

If any of you ever make it out to Redding, bluegoose has the ultimate sports backyard. You could almost play a real game of softball back there. You actually can practice your wedge shots with a full swing.
