Default Grilling with beer?

Hi guys. With spring and summer imminent, I will be busting out my gas grill for some good eating (hopefully) over the next several months. Last year I dabbled with tri-tip steak a few times, and feel like I have it down. This year, I want to branch out even more into the unknown - grilling with beer. Anyone have any experience with this? From what I have researched so far, beer is used to grill with chicken and sausages.

Anyone have any experience grilling with beer? I am a good mormon boy who has never really tasted alcohol, so I have questions on whether or not grilling with beer produces good tasting food and whether or not the alcohol will all be cooked out. Interested in your thoughts on grilling with beer or just grilling in general....thanks.

I am just disgusted that you cook with a gas grill.

Sorry. Dont want to deal with the charcoal or the wood every time. Gas is much more convenient.

Griliing with alcohol does make for good food (any steak restaraunt will have some sort that they do for flavor). Trust me beer dogs taste good. Go buy a 40 put in a pot and then boil some sausages and hot dogs. You will be a better man for it. Plus its not breaking the WOW in case you were wondering

Amen, brother. Charcoal is where it's at.

A friend of mine marinates ribs in beer for a few hours before he throws them on the grill. Best ribs I've ever eaten.

Another good idea is to use a bit of cooking wine, especially in sauces. Good stuff.

Beer but chicken is great, and you have no WoW concerns with it. I used this recipe last year and thought it was great.

I love to grill with beer, flip the steak and take a swig.

Seriously beer is good for lots of things, like making your girlfriend look better, making your lawn look greener and making your food taste better. It is almost like the universal ingredient I like to compare it to ketchup tastes good on everything.
