Default After Gibson's undressing of Palin...

(if only we could be so lucky...)

So Gibson embarrasses Palin on national TV, and Obama falls another 1.7 points on intrade.

If the Democrats manage to throw this completely unloseable election, they will have reached a new low. Guess what? The average American doesn't really care if the governor of Alaska knows what the Bush Doctrine is. I sometimes wonder what planet Democrats live on.

Bush doctrine. It's a term the media came up with. Once Gibson explained his term to her, she addressed it very well.

They are panicking.

The new story is that Obama's team plans to start "exposing" Palin this week.

I'm pretty sure if they use that language they'll get lots and lots of attention. At least at first.

The Democrats live on a planet where a far-left socialist-sympathizing black man with a muslim name and several shady friends and a wife that says stupid things, who goes to a racist church and votes to let newborn infants die

is considered electable.

And it would be a great world if he were electable. I still think he is. It just seems that Democrats like to talk to each other about lofty ideas and concepts without ever really understanding the people they have to sell them to. Attacking a woman (with whom many voters apparently identify) for her ignorance of a fairly obscure foreign policy term, and doing it in a confrontational way, is just the latest example of this huge disconnect.

The Obama team should have followed my advice and ignored her from the beginning. It is too late now. We now have Repub Conservatives calling out sexists. Freaky.

We are nothing if not pragmatic.

Feminists unite!!!!

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

exactly. I've seen on his sites where they're referring to Palin's beliefs as "radical Christian extremism." Well, regardless of what you think of her beliefs, they're shared by millions of Americans. Characterizing those beliefs with such negative language is certainly not going to help his cause.

Obama is sort of electable, but his campaign needs to get its act together real quick. They've totally blown it since he shifted his attention from Hillary to McCain.

I'm not sure ignoring her would have worked. She's too hot, she's too unique and new, she was going to draw attention.

It was a brilliant pick. Probably a politically motivated one, but brilliant nonetheless.

Wow..."radical Christian extremism"? Really? I hadn't seen that one yet.

This is really impressive, actually. They've created a superhero duo that I'd name the Teflon Twins. Nothing will stick. You can't throw anything at McCain, because, after all, he was a POW and how dare you question an American war hero. You can't throw anything at Palin because she's a woman and you're probably secretly chauvinist and trying to undermine her ability to lead.
