BYU expectations

I'll go with BYU #35 from my last post as my preseason expectation.

Calculating our SOS, using ranks for our opponents in my preseason ranking, and comparing with prior years distributions, our SOS should be about #79.

Comparing what the record would be for a #35 team with SOS #79, gives a record slightly better than 8-4, but rounding to 8-4.

TCU, Utah, and BYU are all really bunched up in my preseason ranking, so I'm going to say it's a three way race with Utah slight favorite, with CSU and UNM pushing the top three.

Unless I am missing something, I don't miss much, I have BYU with another conf. championship. I am quite happy a large number are picking TCU or Utah. That means when I am right it isn't like I was with the consensus.

Before you make any jeering remarks, you might remember I am the one that called the win at TCU after the BC game. I also called the wins on the road by the BB team.
