Default Kiper on the state of affairs

I caught a little bit of Kiper on ESPN radio last Saturday.

Man was he ripping on things, when it comes to college football. "the best regular season of any sport in the country, but the worst post-season of any sport."

He basically said for him, the season is already over, and he has stopped paying attention.

He ripped on Hawaii also. Talked about their cupcake schedule. Talked about teams he has defended in the past (like Boise State last year).

There's not a single college football game on the docket that I can say I'm excited about. What kind of state of affairs is this?

Everyone's stop caring. You can't turn your emotions off for a month and turn them on again. College football post season format is the dumbest. Drop the bowls.

Teams taking seven weeks off between games.

It's crazy.

It is ridiculous. The SI article was great this week about the playoff. All of the excuses that the BCS and university presidents, AD's, and commissioners come up with is bunk. I think a 16 team playoff would be perfect. How can every other division of football get it right but D-1?

What you fail to understand is because playoffs bring more money and work for every sport in every other system, it simply cannot work in Division I football.

Doh! I forgot that. Let's stick with the BCS and 32 bowl games, 27 of which are shit and are filled with 6-6 teams. Cashing in on mediocrity.
