Guess what. Neither Republicans nor Democrats could care less about what Will says on this subject. What's the big deal anyway? Did Cox give Will's kid a letter of recommendation to Princeton? I don't care if McCain "smeared" the SEC chairman. Big deal. He's a public figure.

I am, however, appreciateive of McCain that of the two presidential candidates he's the only one expressing skepticism about the crisis and the bail out.

How do you know the magnitude of this crisis? You don't. Neither does Obama or Congress. You are just happy to accept assertions of crisis at face value because as a liberal, nationalization of entire industry sectors is music to your ears.

Just read that. I think there is certainly a large contingent of the conservative intelligentsia that believes that McCain is not the guy we want and that, after eight years of Bush, it may be better to have a Democrat run aground (they hope) than to see another Republican take the movement further into the tank.

This is just like every other year. The closer we get and the more you learn, the more you realize how similar they all are and that all of them give reasons why you might not want to elect them. There is no perfect candidate.

McCain was calling for Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac to get things under control a few years ago when Obama's now chosen economy gods were causing all the problems we have now.

Obama has no credibility here because he won't take his people to task.

doing the past two years? Weren't they voted in to clean up the mess the Republican congress had created as well as end earmarks.

That worked! They certainly came to Washington and shook things up. LOL
