Default Slate Magazine Mormon Pictures

In case you are interested, because today is Pioneer Day, Slate's "Today's Pictures" feature is "Mormons". Actually not very interesting. A bunch of Hill Cumorah rehearsals (am I on the road to apostasy if I needed to look at the caption to see how to spell "Cumorah"), a cute sister missionary, the SLC temple mis-identified as the tabernacle. Some other stuff.

I don't get Hyrum. He hates Mormonism. And Mormons. And us.

Hate is the only explanation of why he could be here.

Posting an article on pioneers from the LDS-owned newspaper on Pioneer Day means I "hate Mormons"?
Well, you're wrong, but I won't waste my time trying to convince you otherwise.

Because he is, in essence, what one might call the coloquial equivalent of an anal orofice?

It seems to me like historians could be working on something a little more productive and relevant than assigning culpability. I weep for the profession.

Hyrum, honest question, what do you like about Mormons or Mormonism? Coming up with one thing shouldn't be too hard.
