Default We should become one race

no mention of color, and caucasians or asians or somebody should lead the way including all in their midst. the one drop concept has to stop.

When did the morons ever start the one drop concept? It has weakened us ever since.

Racial inter-marriage.

Unfortunately the church is unofficially opposed to it.

Those are old policies, adopted prior to the revelation on the priesthood dude. We don't need to listen to that shiz any more.

They come out of the same narrow-minded aspects of our culture that prevented blacks from enjoying the full benefits.

that inter-racial marriage is good for their kids? It's got nothing to do with the Church. But keep on interjecting the 'Church' into every beef you have in life.

Arch, I've heard it many times in my lifetime, and seem to recall that I saw it in a recent manual.

Prove it.

I remember reading some very old stuff, quotes from the sixties, or fifties. If you read the quotes, even if they are still extant today, they hearken back to those awful blind days of yore.

The kernel of truth the contain is something of this magnitude, "marriage is difficult enough and if one mixes cultures one adds to the confusion and difficulty in communicating, thus we do not recommend intermarriage between cultures," or some such nonsense. Marriage is tough, and expectations are more easily understood if partners understand one another's expectations which can be complicated by marrying into another culture.

I remember the statement because it struck me as odd, but then I thought WTF and moved on. I purposefully went on dates with gals from Asia, Latin America, and France to find out what they heck they were talking about. I didn't marry them, not due to their inadequacy though or those words.

It's comes from racist notions. The instruction is "keep the races apart" but it is guilded in finery to make it appear to be non-racist. Brigham Young preached against "miscegenation" and this is nothing more than the continuation of it.

Of course we have seen this counsel ignored quite often. ironically, often by missionaries who serve in foreign countries and then marry a person from that country. They end up loving the people, as instructed, and then carrying it one step further.
