So the Cubs lose again.
How painful must that be for Cubs fans? This team looked like the best team in baseball, and to go down the way they are against... the Dodgers?
Ouch. |

You are, frankly, the only person in America who is surprised.

The Dodgers have lots of post season experience. Derek Lowe knows what to do. Manny is probably one of the best post season players ever. Torre just wins. The Cubs just ran into a team that is surging. That and they have a huge monkey on their back.

The playoffs are supposed to be about pitching. Generally, pitching beats hitting. The Cubs are getting rocked with hitting.

I presume the Cubs will win game 3 with Harden (who I believe to be the best pitcher in baseball when 100%) on the the mound. Then drop game 4. But who knows. The way the Dodgers have been hitting and pitching if Manny can produce a 2-3 runs that may be enough to win because the Cubs can't hit anything right now. The playoffs are more than just pitching (Maybe not much more). Torre deserves a ton of credit for being aggressive early with the hit and run trying to produce runs.
