That was a helluva game....
While I would have preferred a different outcome, I have to say that it was one of the most fun games I've witnessed between the two teams.
Prop to Beck and Co. for getting it done.

I felt exactly the same way last year - fantastic game, bad outcome. I still can't quite believe BYU won - I'll have to watch the rebroadcast just to make sure. I swear I lost ten years off my life during the game.

it was hard to go to bed last night going over all the what ifs in that game.
far less weddle, far less trickery than i expected. far too little blitzing at the end when it had been working all game. Beck seems like an average QB with some hands in his face. I wish they would have taken their chances in the 4th quarter. The worst part was that some of wife's family was in town for thanksgiving and they are total homer zoobs. they were in ____such_____ a bad mood during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. we went out to dinner after, and the silver lining in the loss was that they were civil during dinner. otherwise it would have been dinner with several scowling faces. I had expected a 3 TD loss, but our lads did us proud. but the better team won. I look forward to next year. A better QB, a running back, and lots of underclassmen coming back. Tearing down the goal posts in boogie stadium will be pleasant. Regards, Brian

Brian i agree with most of what you said but Beck did not look average with pressure. He hit coats while being hit on one play. He threw that shovel pass with pressure. He hit Harline on the game winner right before being smacked. He looked good with a hand in his face.

Hey, even Ratliff made some nice plays, and he is very average. Regards, Brian

Hey, "GarthUte" - that socalcoug on Utefans.com isn't me - he's probably still scratching his head about the hot babysitter.
By the way, she was fine. She didn't watch most of the game with me (we were visiting my parents in Lehi) - she was shopping for a wedding dress with my mom. But she said she didn't care that the Utes won - only that I was happy with the outcome.

Double wows. My wife didn't attend BYU and really just suffers my Cougar obsession. Actually she has mocked me mercilessly over the past few years with, "So, why isn't BYU any good?" or "BYU never wins." or the worst was in 2004 when she said "Look, Utah is ranked #5. Where is BYU?" The morning after the AZ game this year as I got out of bed she asked by how much BYU had lost. I responded by only three and that somehow I wasn't that down because something felt different about the team. Her response was, "Hey, don't forget it's Fast Sunday today." as she moved past me to the shower. I'm ready to call LDS Social Services.
