Default Blink - Malcom Gladwell

Has anyone read this book?

I had to go to a conference this week where there would be a lot of down time for product exhibitors and so I brought Blink with me. It's only about 268 pages and I'm like 75 pages into it thus far, but I have found it to be a very interesting read.

It is essentially about our instincts and our ability to make quick decisions about people or things and how those decisions can be just as informed as decisions made after a long thought process of weighing options, pros and cons and coming to an "informed" conclusion.

So far it has been a good read, and I've enjoyed his writing style. He also wrote the book the Tipping Point, which follows a similar thought process about small things, changes, decisions etc...making all the difference in big things happening.

Any other Gladwell fans here?

Gladwell, as you know, is a legend with the work that he has done. The Tipping Point, in my opinion, is a much better book. I do like 'Blink' but Tipping Point is fabulous and informative and interesting. Definately worth a read for anyone that is interested in learning thought process and what can set off a big chain of events in life and in marketing.

Yeah, it's kind of THE book for marketing students to read...although that Donald Trump one looks pretty good...!
