Default The biggest inaccuracy of the entire documentary

was having a gospel music type choir singing in sacrament meeting.

I've never heard anything like that EVER in a sacrament meeting.

People clapping, during music, in church? That is beyond sacrilegious!

We all know that the overall goal of sacrament meeting is to have as somber an atmosphere as possible. Grim resolve is the highest spiritual state. We all know that. And I would find gospel choir music an affront, and frankly speaking, Satanic.

Yes, the devil and his minions rejoice when hands are clapped, smiles are had, and voices are raised.

I missed that part, but our ward in Ft. Union had a small group of black members give a classic gospel music number in sacrament meeting a few years ago. The members loved it.

We have Gladys Knight in our stake, so we are allowed more leniency. In addition, sometimes violins look like guitars, and many other forbidden instruments.

Default Music is the purest form of worship

I have seen gospel choirs bring LDS congregations to tears. And you tell me that is inappropriate? Are you Boyd K. Packer?

Some Elder's on our mission did a gospel version of "Come, Come ye Saints" at a Zone Conference. Elder Cree L. Kofford was in attendance and the missionaries were immediately, publicly, and harshly reprimanded for changing the arrangement of a hymn.

Our MP later called the Elder's in and told them he liked it and not to let the reprimand get them down.

Are you telling me it is possible to feel the spirit when gospel music is being played? or jazz? or non-religious classical music? LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

The only things appropriate for sacrament meetings are hymns and a few of the selections from Janice Kapp Perry.

I know you didn't criticize Elder Kofford, but you implied it. I'm reporting you to the church troublemaker list. Sorry.

WHen I was ward choir director I used a brass quartet and an electric bass guitar for sacrament meeting. I avoided too mcuh syncopation, however, as that always seems to get the ladies in a flush.

I have mad love for Elder Kofford, but he was terribly grumpy that day.

Do the music censors wear hoods or are they undercover?
