Default how come Mormon women never wear dress pants?

to church? Is this something that would be the equivalent of a man wearing a t-shirt? I don't get it. Would this be the case in every christian congregation in the United States?

You're not serious, right? It is not for lack of desire. I have been to Lutheran and Presbyterian congregations where women in pantsuits are entirely appropriate. Contrastingly, the most monumental change in LDS women's wear has been the decline/disappearance of the implied pantyhose requirement (don't tell Indy).

There is an older sister in our ward who wears pant suits every week. And always has. I think she even wears them to the temple. It's kind of a trademark for her.

Impressive - and this actually happens in Utah County?

Women aren't brave in the church. Farrah says she would never consider wearing dress pants.

That's not what I said. I said I had never considered wearing dress pants, because of habit. But, I'm a practical person. If I had a nice pants suit, and there was a cold front here in Dallas, I would consider wearing one.

Cause and effect Brother W. Women in the church are taught (brainwashed?) from a young age to be submissive, obedient, unquestioning and simultaneously happy.

I'm not aware of any "rule" against it. Is this one of those unspoken rules like the white shirt rule for men? Would other women mock you?

Edit: Just asked my wife "why don't you ever wear dress pants to church?" She said "I can't." When I asked why she said "well, you can but then you'd be mocked by other women who'd tell you it was inappropriate. It's not worth it."

Plenty of men don't wear white shirts. As soon as I am not in the YM program, I likely won't wear white shirts again.

Right, but the fact that you say "as soon as I'm not in the YM program" proves my point about the unwritten rule.
