Default Does anyone wear a bolo tie to church?

I used to quite often. One of my favorites had a little scorpion encased in plastic.

But now that I am in YM, I conform by wearing whit shirt and regular tie.

My grandfather used to wear bolo ties, so I am allowed to on that basis.

I see lots of old men wearing them...some also include their 10 gallon hat in the mix as well.

It's an old man/cowboy thing out here. We have several that do it. It is considered the same as a tie out here btw. Nobody would question you wearing one even working with the YM. They'd just think you were a hick.

I do. I have two bolo ties. One's Zuni with onyx, mother-of-pearl, and turquoise, the other's Navajo with siver, red coral, and turquoise. Both are bird motifs.

You guys are weird. Bolo ties? I haven't seen a bolo tie since my sisters wedding reception. Her in-laws think black wranglers and bolo ties are the equivalent of a Tuxedo.

Detroit, do you wear the Colonel Sanders type or the Orville Redenbacher kind?

Orville Redenbacher. Although I would totally wear a Sanders if I ever found an excellent one. Especially because I have a Colonel Sanders goatee.

It is kind of my trademark to wear bowties, I wore them to high school a lot. I know that sounds wierd but it actually worked to my advantage.

Of course if you thought wearign a bow tie was a good thing, I am not sure if I woudl trust your sense of "advantage."
