An awesome pairing
I can't tell you how lucky I was today when I turned on the Cartoon Network and got a dream pairing of Scooby Doo and Batman and Robin. Seriously, I was wondering when their two 'mystery solving' worlds would collide. It turned out well as Scooby Doo saved Batman and Robin from the Penguin and the Joker.
I also learned something interesting as Batman discovered some counterfeit bills. As Batman said 'it was a perfect counterfeit except for one thing--they then showed a picture of Abraham Lincoln on the bill--Abraham Lincoln doesn't wear a turtleneck on the real bill. Man, no doubt the counterfeiters are kicking themselves silly by not paying attention to that little detail. The only better matchup of great characters would be Gilligan from Gilligan's Island and the Snorks.

That was from the cosmically awesome spin-off called "The New Scooby Doo Movies," wherein the entire gang would hook up with actual movie stars in random places like ghost towns, old amusement parks, or haunted lagoons.
These weren't just ANY movie stars, either. These were the A-List of the B-List.....folks like Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller, and Tim Conway. There was even one episode where they manage to meet up with Sandy Duncan and Scooby spends the entire episode trying to figure out a way to hump her leg. He is never successful. Also, there was no mention of her glass eye. I am probably guessing that her agent put that into the contract....

I would say the pairing was great precisely because of Scooby Doo. Batman and Robin just happened to be the guest stars in that episode.
If the cartoon world ever put Scooby and Hong Kong Fooey together in a show, I could die happy.
