Unsolicited political emails from ward members

Members of my ward are sending me emails telling me to go vote for Romney this Tuesday. I'm talking about ward members with whom I have never previously had email contact.

Very annoying. I couldn't even vote for Romney if I wanted to, since I'm a registered dem.

My Senator Patty Murray spams me all the time. I figure she got my name from the NY Review of Books or the New Yorker. I can't stand her, and her emails are loud and obnoxious, with caps, exclamation points, and lots of color and vitriole against stuff I believe in. Very de classe.

Have you ever attended any left leaning, like an environmental or international relief, fundraiser?

Is your firm politically active? It could be something as simple as a fellow attorney at your firm who donated money to Murray and a Murray intern went online and compiled all the email address of the firms' attorneys. There are numerous ways politicians compile their email lists, usually they follow those who have given money.

My wife and I handle death penalty cases pro bono. Maybe that's it.
