Where did we get this weak a** crap that playing three BCS teams equates to a TOUGH schedule??? Where do these p***ies think we should fit in on this table? Team, # of BCS teams on the schedule this year Duke 11 Florida State 11 Missouri 11 Southern Cal 11 Washington 11 Arizona State 10 Auburn 10 Boston College 10 California 10 Colorado 10 Georgia 10 Georgia Tech 10 Illinois 10 Iowa 10 LSU 10 Maryland 10 Miami FL 10 Michigan 10 Michigan State 10 Nebraska 10 North Carolina 10 Notre Dame 10 Oklahoma 10 Oregon 10 Oregon State 10 South Carolina 10 Stanford 10 Syracuse 10 Tennessee 10 UCLA 10 Virginia 10 Virginia Tech 10 Wake Forest 10 Washington St 10 Alabama 9 Arizona 9 Clemson 9 Connecticut 9 Florida 9 Iowa State 9 Kansas State 9 Kentucky 9 Louisville 9 Mississippi 9 Mississippi St 9 North Carolina St 9 Northwestern 9 Ohio State 9 Oklahoma St 9 Penn State 9 Pittsburgh 9 Purdue 9 South Florida 9 Texas A&M 9 Vanderbilt 9 West Virginia 9 Wisconsin 9 Arkansas 8 Baylor 8 Cincinnati 8 Indiana 8 Kansas 8 Minnesota 8 Rutgers 8 Texas 8 Texas Tech 8 Florida Atlantic 5 Florida Int'l 5 Miami OH 5 Navy 5 Army 4 Buffalo 4 East Carolina 4 Eastern Michigan 4 Troy 4 Western Michigan 4 Akron 3 Ala-Birmingham 3 Ball State 3 Bowling Green 3 Central Florida 3 Central Michigan 3 Fresno State 3 Kent State 3 Louisiana Tech 3 Marshall 3 Middle Tennessee St 3 Rice 3 San Diego St 3 San Jose St 3 TCU 3 Toledo 3 UL-Monroe 3 Utah 3 Arkansas State 2 Brigham Young 2 Colorado State 2 Houston 2 Idaho 2 Nevada 2 North Texas 2 Northern Illinois 2 Temple 2 Tulane 2 UL-Lafayette 2 Air Force 1 Boise State 1 Hawai`I 1 Memphis 1 New Mexico 1 New Mexico State 1 Ohio U. 1 SMU 1 Southern Miss 1 Tulsa 1 UNLV 1 Utah State 1 UTEP 1 Wyoming 1 |

Oh we're worried we might LOSE a game if we actually play someone? That's why it's called a game. That's why it has intrigue. That's why people pay to come watch the game and dedicate their Saturdays to the team. You're not sure of the outcome. It's exciting and compelling.
If we're worried we might lose a game, maybe we could make a special request to the NCAA that we play a team called BYE and have it count as a victory. Then nobody gets hurt and we get a win. Balance. |

I would sooner pay money to watch the Friday scrimmage of a bye week. Put it in the stadium and take tickets. Call it the sixth home game. We get a bye. Fans get some action watching the BYU offense actually play someone (BYU defense).

Hell, go independent and petition the NCAA to play this team called BYE 12 times. Maybe some voters won't pay attention, assume we played this team on the MTN. Score looks impressive. 12-0. Maybe we sneak in a BCS bowl. Bring a couple million in the program. A lot of the big donors just give their tickets to their grandkids--they won't notice. Maybe season tickets don't suffer too badly. Bronco goes down as most winning coach in history. Fireside attendance soars.

I've actuallly been thinking it might be best for the MWC to join div 1AA, and compete for a real national championship.
I suspect over the years we will be increasingly familiar with many div 1aa teams, and may even consider them rivals. |

I didn't have anything to do with that article. Doesn't Harmon play both sides of the fence in that article?

Seriously though Indy, you should be proud. Harmon obviously got the SOS comparison to 80's stuff from you. He's your biggest fan. You need to start charging him.

He's not advocating it. If you think he's advocating it, that's yet another example of your poor ability to separate your own emotion from the issue instead of actually trying to understand what is being said. |

2. Harmon's been on this scheduling kick ever since 2000. You know as well as I do he's not an unbiased journalist. He picks sides, and it's usually to homer whoever he's trying to cozy up to at BYU. He occasionally will be critical towards BYU, but it's usually to defend someone else he likes, i.e. fighting Rondo because he was defending Roger or defending Val/Crowton from their enemies within BYU. |
