Is God everywhere?
And if he is, does sin exist in the form we think it does?
If sin distances us from God, and he is everywhere, does sin exist? |

I don't know how to respond to your religion posts, so I probably shouldn't. My tendency is to treat you like a fellow endowed LDS and to smack you upside the head for saying ridiculous stuff. But the more I read from you, I think I should treat you like a non-believer and try to understand where you're coming from and seek common ground. Speaking to a fellow, endowed LDS I would say, yes I know the answer and so do you, duh, God is not everwhere in the sense that he is....blah blah blah, and God is everywhere in the sense that his spirit, his influence...blah blah blah, and you and I both know what sin is, it's clearly defined a million times in the scriptures and over the pulpit in general conference...blah blah blah. Speaking to a non-believer, I would say, tell me more about where you're coming from and I'll tell you where I'm coming from and let's seek common definitions and maybe we'll see some common ground and maybe share insights with each other. How do you want people to respond to you? |

Nonsense. God is a man, and he resides on Kolob. He can't be everywhere.

Life is an interpretative experience, rejecting the objective analysis theory.
However, if you ask a question whether sin is an object unto itself, I would reject that interpretation, as it's an abstract concept, not taking up space dimensions. Your questions assumes many metaphysical unrealities which I do not accept.

Ok Jay,
Two possibilities: 1. Sin is an illusion. We are here doing what we came here to do. There are no accidents nor coincidences. Even the church is perfect which doesn't mean that the church is not messed up but rather, means that it's being messed up is a part of perfection. Perfection is about what's going on according to the plan. But, if that is unsatisfying, then consider that our separation from God itself is an illusion that is, we can try to run away, but there is no place to go no where we can hide as God is everywhere. We might choose not to listen to God, but it does it matter? God always speaks to us, has always spoken to us and will always speak to us even if we deny him. Sin is spiritual death, yet, spiritual death is illusory as we are never abandoned. If this is unbelievable, then try: 2. Sin is not an illusion. Sin is being separate from God. We are separate from God, therefore spiritual death is real. We do things that are unbecoming thus separating ourselves from him. I find myself somewhere in between these possibilities. |

This is similar to the guy on my mission who asked me if God is the all-powerful creator, can he create something that even he couldn't lift?
