Well, he fit their biggest need.......a player who is not black so that most of the local community can assume he is family oriented, a la Stockton!

I didn't understand the pick, but what were they to do given the choices available to them?
It seems they have a viable back up point in Price, they have more than enough 2-3 players, they have a quality back-up 4, and I didn't see any defensive interior bigs left at 23. The Jazz seem to be intent on creating an excellent D League team. |

I thought the whole point was that nobody was good enough to crack the line-up, so they took a guy who could play foreign ball for a couple years. No?
