Default Dubya's approval rating falls to new all-time low of 24%

As the presidential debates heat up over the next year, it will be interesting to see to what extend the republican candidates disassociate themselves with Bush.

In 2000, with the Lewinsky / impeachment so recent, I recall Gore would very scarcely mention Clinton's name.

Is it just me, or was Bush MUCH more articulate in 2000 than he is today?

I think he's heavily medicated. I'm not kidding.

He really isn't doing anything right now, what's causing the further erosion of support?

Right now, he has no governing ability and can only protect Republicans from themselves, plus try to make "hard decisions". I've actually tuned him out completely. Has he done anything recently that would cause the further downturn?

Yea I saw a video on youtube comparing his speaking ability at a gubernatorial debate and the '04 presidential debate. It was pretty shocking. In the former he was speaking in complete sentences, and most astonishingly, seemed serious about it without that smug little "I can't believe you just asked me that stupid question" grin on his face. I wonder what sort of pathologies he must be suffering from.

Even if a Republican wins, I look forward to being able to see the president without the overwhelming urge to smack him for talking like a teenager.
