Did anyone see Recount?
On HBO? I don't get HBO so wondered what anybody thought.

I saw it. Well acted. Especially Tom Wilkinson as James Baker. The story was the dems were right to get every single vote counted, no matter if they could discern voter intent or not and the republicans tried every underhanded act possible to make your vote not count. The Dems did not (except for Lieberman) want to count all the late military votes and the elephants did regardless if they were post marked or not. Good movie but I liked the book, uh, real life better.

Haven't seen it. Does it point out that it was Al Gore who wanted the courts to decide?
Ironic that the Dems were demanding that every vote in Florida count in '00, but now that it might hurt Obama's chance to be the nominee, every vote doesn't matter.

An HBO film about Bush, does anybody expect anything other than sensationalism? I couldn't imagine wasting two hours on something anyone could write the plot line for.
Republicans all bad, Democrats saintly good. Republicans stole election, while blessed Dems strove to protect the Sun of All Righteousness. No thank you. I once watched movies from East Germany about East German political machinery. An HBO film would be no less slanted.
