Someone please tell me why we wouldnt want Cooper
He was just named the NJCAA First team all-american Quarterback.
http://www.snowbadgers.com/football/...ts/award.shtml Tonga Tea was first team D-lineman and Asiata second team RB That means imo Cooper is the best JC QB in the country right now. Pretty high praise if you ask me.

I have only seen him play twice, so I don't have much to offer. From what I have seen he is very tough. In the game at Phoenix he did seem to have happy feet. Of course the oline was not protecting, at all.
If he were to have the oline that BYU is going to have next year, he could make a sandwich in the pocket and then pick the defense apart. He is an accurate passer. I think he completed over 70%, and has a nice touch on the long ball or at least intermediate routes and timing patterns. Sometimes he may try and force the ball, because he believes in his arm. The TD to end the first half is a good example. He threaded the needle on that one and it ended up being a beautiful pass, but it could have turned out badly. He seems to be more of a poctet passer, I only remember him scrambling a few times, but I could be completly forgetting. didn't seem too fast. I think it would be a good pickup for BYU to add some depth at QB.
