Default I had to Mormonize my Easter Lesson

Odd that the Primary Manual's Easter Lesson has not a single citation or even mention of the BoM.

The implication was: "Another Testament of Jesus Christ? Thank you, we don't need it for the fundamental lesson on the Savior/Redeemer."

So I brought in some verses from Alma 11 and Helaman 14. I brought in the Testimony of the Apostles from a few years ago (What a novel idea! Quotes from today's prophets on Christ! Stunning the novelties I come up with, isn't it?), but their group document didn't cite Another Testimony of Jesus Christ either, and makes only a brief, passing, and general reference to his appearence in the Americas (The "other sheep" verse was cited). It did cite the D&C and made reference to Joseph's First Vision.

Maybe I'm just behind the curve on the PR.

There was a lesson? When did that occur?

Sorry to have missed it.

Hey I'll have you know Henderson has many wards, and I've been kicked out of most of them.

The third ward was years ago. Actually we have three or four stakes, maybe five.

I did try to listen to sacrament talks of my friends, missed SS and enjoyed our discussion of the atonement in HP group.

Our teacher posited this question:

What would the world look like if Satan's plan had been adopted?

I'll give your our observations, if anybody wishes to discuss.

If I had been in EQ I'd probably have been dozing myself. In Primary, though, falling asleep means risking that the kids will tie your shoelaces together....or go off to vegas to get married...or sneak out to watch episodes of Big Love...

Interesting question.

Had Satan's plan been adopted, I'd imagine that the world would be a rather dreary place. We'd have no idea what anything would be like since there would be no choice in anything.

I also believe that we'd all be involved in nothing but sin, though we wouldn't know it. Satan being God's enemy would not have made us do what would be necessary to return to God's presence; he would have only given us the single option of doing what he wanted us to do, which is evil. That's all he knows. I believe that he doesn't tempt us to sin in order to the blessings of being righteous, but he does so because that's all he knows. He doesn't see two choices: right or wrong. He only sees wrong.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

I don't know the answer to this question, but I think he should have marketed his plan a little better. Something catchy like, "No Child Left Behind."

I don't have my scriptures in front of me so I could be way off here but I think it could be argued that Satan's plan was never actually on the table and thus never a real option. Satan presented his plan but in reality wasn't it just a criticism of the actual plan? One third agreed with his "plan" but even if it had been 2/3 I've seen nothing that would convince me that his plan had a chance of being put into effect. Christ's plan was THE plan. Satan's was a rebellion.

This world is becoming Satan's plan.

In agency, there is an owner and an agent. Man is the owner and responsible for the agent, which he is also.

Satan wanted to become God, owner and responsible.

Now, with no fault, people are living without responsibility. Satan's world.
