Why leave gorgeous Hawaii to take a job at SMU? Is there a worse football program in American than SMU (Duke would argue there is)?

Maybe he is afraid Hawaii will tank this year and he doesn't want to go out on bad terms, but if you go out on bad terms, you wind up at a place like... SMU. It is almost like he skipped the agony of worrying about being forced to take a job like SMU and then jumped straight to the punishment.

Help me out here.

Right. That is a reason to leave Hawaii. What is the reason to join SMU?

Is it really only money? Seems like he could have been paid well somewhere else and also had a chance to win more than 3 games a year.

Maybe he enjoys a challenge. Hawaii was worse than SMU when he took over there.

I have no clue who June Junes is. All I know is milk is like $7 a gallon in Hawaii right now. That'd be enough for me to move to Texas.
