Default If I gave a lesson in priesthood class, would you come?

Even if I promised not to just have guys taking turns reading out of the manual?

Sure, why not.

I taught the lesson on Sunday. The Elders quorum president specifically said not to bother with the manual. Kind of interesting.

if you prepared and used something other than manual quotes, sure.

I read my manual more than most, and frequently in advance when I know which manual lesson is on line.

I imagine the lesson would be statistically sound, with safe positions taken, but a prepared lesson is better than most.

Actually, I was going to try to find prophetic quotes which I could try to refute with both LDS and non-LDS source material.

I imagine yours to be along the lines of a safe high council lesson, structurally sound in Gospel teachings, no new inserts or controversial talks, but review of current expressions on appointed topic.

It would kinda be like a Bar Review lesson for Gospel Topics, we could right down a lot of cross referenced scriptures that we had forgotten. That's what I would anticipate from you.

So is this a good thing or a bad thing?

It is. Reviews are good if that's not the only type of lesson delivered. Especially if you move briskly through the topic, not treating the topic as if it were the first encounter.

It would depend on what kind of treats you provide.
