I've been here for 1 1/2 weeks and have another week to go.
Denver is nothing special. Salt Lake is a better place to live than Denver.

I liked Denver. I worked there for a few months on assignment. But I do like SLC better. The problem with Denver is that the mountains are an hour away from the downtown area. It is not easy to get to. The 16th street Mall is nice...and having the sports teams all around is cool as well. The loft/condo areas of downtown Denver are terrific, I will give it that. But like I said, for outdoorsy stuff, SLC has Denver beat.

I was in Denver for 3 months and I agree... Nothing special. I did think the thunderstorms that moved in over the rockies every afternoon at 4:37 on the dot were pretty cool.

Overrated by whom? That is the question.

Just keep thinking that. We don't want homeschoole map geeks here anyway. Homeschooled lawyers are okay. But we draw the line at map geeks.

I love Denver. The mountains are kind of far off. But I don't mind that so much. I think the city itself has more to offer than Salt Lake does and the community as a whole is a bit more hip. A bit more hippyish too. But both cities are comparable. As to which I'd rather live in, Salt Lake gets an edge because of family, but really it's a coin flip for me.
