Default Profile of the ultimate loser voter

1. Lives in a state like Utah or Texas where the outcome isn't even close to being in doubt.

2. Hates Obama but barely hates McCain a little less.

3. Is pretty sure McCain isn't going to win.

3. Would prefer one of the third party candidates but votes for McCain anyway out of fear of Obama.

Makes me wonder if people this irrational should even be allowed to vote. There couldn't be a better definition of throwing away your vote than following the pattern above. Funny thing is, this probably describes 70% of McCain voters on Cougarboard - maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

The electoral college is stupid and outdated and results in a bizarre power distribution to voters.

I think a strong case could be made that the ultimate loser voter is anyone who votes for a third party candidate.

Ok, make it. I'm thinking about going third party this year (for the third time in my voting life, btw.) I'd like to hear arguments why I shouldn't.

Background: I live in Wyoming. McCain will win Wyoming handily so my vote matters not.

I've worked hard my whole life to overcome the hand life has dealt me. I'm pleased to see my efforts have been somewhat successful. At least in masking my disability.

I was trying ot make fun of the fact that he felt the need to tell us. Apart from some yahoo that lives in Ohio, perhaps no one else is more closely assocaited with their residence than good ol Landpoke. I am not afraid to admit, however, that I failed miserably. Back to work now.
