Max Hall vs Riley Nelson
Let's check the stats:
NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT Max Hall 170 247 2231 68.8 9.03 17 11 158.5 Riley Nelson 7 10 99 70.0 9.90 1 0 186.2 Source: ESPN.com Since Wyoming is playing decent ball, I'd say Max Hall should probably still play, but since Nelson has shown a little brilliance in the little time he's played, I think he should start against New Mexico, the undisputed worst team in the MWC this year. Hall's college career was far more dependent on the team's success this year than we like to admit, so I think it's best to invest for next year. Hall gains nothing playing against New Mexico. Let Riley play a full game now.

The only way this will happen is if we lose a game and Max plays horribly.
Foolish to think that Nelson is better based on a rating in mop-up time. One of the major questions is whether Unga stays for his senior season. I think he will, based on the fact that he will not grade out well. But delusions are common among "stars". |

It's not that he IS better, but since Max is almost through, shouldn't BYU start looking toward investing in next season? If we wait until next season to see how good Nelson REALLY is, it could cost ANOTHER season...

Senior QB--you gotta stay with him. We are not in the "lets throw the season away and go for the top draft pick" mode.
