Default Powder River, Let 'er Buck!

Nice job pokes! Very nice job. I don't care what kind of shape Tennessee is in, winning in Knoxville is no small thing.

Most impressive OOC MWC victory by far.

Funny.

In a year that Wyoming beats Tennessee, Utah beats Michigan, and BYU beats UCLA and Washington, all those schools are having almost historically awful seasons, 2 of those teams have fired their head coach, and maybe 2 of them will go to a bowl game.

Oh, well. Great historic wins!

BYU has always been a barometer for the bigger names. Miami is the only exception in that it went on to a great season after losing to the BYUs.

As neat as it was to win that one my jubilation has been somewhat muted as my beloved Sheridan Broncs fell to Green River (the real Green River, not that crap-ass poser in Utardia) in the semis of the Wyoming 5A playoffs.

And then my wife made me go to the damn Friends of the Library auction.

Luckily they had an open bar whereby I was able to both celebrate the Pokes' victory and dull the pain of the Bronc's loss. And pay way too much for a delightful crocheted throw. It's got a cute sad kitty on it.

What kinds of items can one purchase at a Friends of the Library auction in Wyoming?

An old saddle?
Spurs?
Whisky?

Well, according to a few of my rather seedy acquaintances, the Green River in Utah is home to some female by the name of Tabitha Stevens, if that means anything to you.
