Do you like Americans?

I like Americans... one thing that has always bugged me, and i hope this doesn't offend anyone, but Americans in general tend to get fat and not take care of themselves. I've been fat.. I was 197 on a 5'10" medium sized frame. That's not obscenely obese or anything, but it was uncomfortable. In my case, I just got lazy and it affected various parts of my life. I'm much happier now that I'm not so fat. Still have work to do, but I'm making progress.
Italians have a different lifestyle allowing them to get more excercise by culture and they save money by not having cars so they can spend on cool clothes. and no, I don't dress exceptionally well... just some random thoughts off the cuff.

I went no on this one, because I have a problem with whiney Americans that think the world owes them something, and I DETEST the average American tourist.

I spent several months in France a few years ago, and these are my observations: They drive little cars. They live in small homes and apartments. They don't work long hours and don't make a lot of money, but they seem much more content with the quality of their lives than we in the States do. Their self-esteem is not wrapped up in how much money they make or how many toys they have.
I don't hate Americans, but I think there is a lot they can learn from the Europeans.
