All of those singers with that deepish voice are awesome (Steve, Melissa Etheridge, etc.). Now, I don't enjoy all of their music, but their voices are awesome.

The lead singer of the Cowboy Junkies can make a grown man cry with that voice.

I saw them open for somebody way back in about '91 at Abrevanel Hall. When they were done, we left. No need to stick around for some country singer I'd never heard of.

Sadly, I am not as much of a Junkies fan that I should be. Those songs aren't familiar to me, though I'm sure I've heard them at one time or another. A friend of mine is a big fan and had burned a CD for me a while back for my listening pleasure. I ought to break it out and give it a listen.
