Default New 2009 Season Opener

Per Wrubell's blog and what Bronco said last night,,,,it won't be Tulane.

Let the speculation begin.....

He said it will "probably be a road game", so it's HIGHLY unlikely it's a D1AA team this year.

Since it's a road game, not only is it unlikely, it's impossible.

Yep.

Makes sense no reason to play 7 home games. That would be a silly idea.

Would you rather have a 7th home game with USU & a D1AA team both at home or 6 roadies with a mid-tier D1A team? Personally, I'd go with the latter.

It would be nice to make some money. Next year we have a good schedule, Florida State, TCU, Utah. I would rather see us have 7 home games. This year I would have agreed with you, why not get that mid-tier team to come to us? Heaven forbid maybe without a return, pretend we are one of the big boys for a season.

The #106 team dropped us from their schedule? Damn. It will be tough, but there are 13 D1 teams ranked lower, plus about half the D1AA teams. However, three are already on the schedule. Double damn. This is where Holmoe earns his paycheck. Do your magic, Tom.

Why the #@%$ do we have a home and home with #106 in the nation?

Since BYU plays much better at home, they should follow the example of the Longhorns' 2008 schedule and maybe they'll be undefeated and ranked #1:

8/30 Home game
9/6 "Road game" in El Paso
9/13 Home game
9/20 Home game
10/4 True road game in Boulder
10/11 Neutral game in Dallas
10/18 Home game
10/25 Home game
11/1 "Road game" in Lubbock
11/8 Home game
11/15 True road game in Lawrence
11/27 Home game

Yes the Horns leave Texas only twice all season.

This is week #4 against a top 10 team. And you are arguing that they have a weak schedule? Wow.
