How smart is Obama?

We have been told about Obama's brilliant intelligence for years now. Pulled himself up by his bootstraps, first Black law review editor at Harvard Law, book contracts to tell his story, law professor at U. of Chicago, etc.

And now we find out that in virtually every speech the guy has given, he has been READING it. And then when he isn't reading his speech, he looks terrible and commits gaffes.

It's like shades of Manchurian Candidate.

However, I do have one piece of independent information. A guy I know took a law class from Obama at U. of Chicago, and said that Obama was very bright.

I will try to take some small measure of solace from that.

The only few people I know who have had contact with him, have not derided his intelligence. I don't like his instincts. However, I don't gather he's the brightest guy you'll ever meet, even as intelligent as some of the posters here, but he's no dummy, and has an adequate modicum of intelligence sufficient to serve him in most capacities. But the fact is, he was smart enough to engineer an election to have one of the toughest jobs in the world, for which few may be bright enough.

He probably isn't even American. Have you followed up on that yet, Waters? What are you doing on here anyways? There are guns to be bought! Ammo to stockpile! Bunkers to be constructed! Who knows how long you have before Obama the Kenyan turns you into a socialist, and probably a GAY socialist at that. Only a matter of time...

Maybe he's smarter than we think ... it's the whole Running Man scenario: making out brackets on ESPN, appearing on the tonight show, 60 minutes last night. He's distracting us while the men behind the curtain destroy American Democracy.

I hate it when presidents make themselves accessible to the American people. Wouldn't it be so much better if he hid away and never talked to us at all?
