In short, the righteous are retaking the Republican party from the evil souless droids. George W. Bush and radical Islam have conspired (unwittingly, of course) to make social issues passe for a host of reasons, some of them obvious, others more subtle.

So he's an atheist, but he doesn't even speak to the core business interests, that's my concern. He's a Dem masquerading as a Rep.

Although Giuliani likes to cite his history of fiscal conservativism - he claims he took a city with a multi-million dollar deficit and reformed it into a fiscally solvent entity - critics like to point out "the rest of the story." Note this synopsis by George Marlin: ...In Rudy's second term, when the economy was booming, he abandoned fiscal restraint and became a big-spending liberal. City budget expenditures jumped 25 percent – twice the inflation rate – and Giuliani left his successor a projected operating deficit of $4.5 billion and New York's citizens with the highest tax burden in any major municipality in America.I'm not from New York and I don't know the whole truth on this, but this is one of my concerns regarding Giuliani. |

I'd prefer him to Hillary or Obama, but I fear his fiscal issues.

Incidentally, rumor has it the Dem party - regardless of what the general public thinks - is very much pushing Hillary over Barack. |

When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

It's funny how things work out. In 1999 I had just gotten home from my mission and the 2000 Presidential primary was in high gear. I was snowboarding at Snowbird and I shared a lift with a guy from New York. We began talking politics and we discussed the Giuliani-Clinton NY Senate race. He predicted that one day these two would face off in a presidential election. I immediately dismissed the idea and I am now amazed at how wrong I was.
