John Dehlin
I don't really follow him closely, but I heard some chatter about him recently...
John actually has an account on CG, if I'm not mistaken. I just thought it was interesting to read on his FB that he is training to be a clinical psychologist. |

But yeah, his work on scrupulosity is very interesting and he did a whole podcast on the topic. Apparently he left his job at MIT and made a career change in the last year or two because he wants to help Mormons (defined very broadly) in this capacity.

scrupulosity.
so his life calling is to help Mormons on a topic that I don't even know the definition of. Dehlin is #WINNING. An anti-Mormon was trumpeting the fact that Dehlin had "finally" announced his apostasy and disassociation from the LDS church. That's why he came to mind. |

I like John Dehlin, if nothing else, he's creating a folk history project that will be a goldmine in 200 years.

I think he's doing a good thing. It's just not material that I find myself all that interested in. While Tex might call me a "tortured self-hating Mormon" I guess I'm not all that far out there on the spectrum of hand-wringers. Either that or I am too egotistical to care what's going on with anyone else. I occupy my place and don't worry about it.
