For the most part I've been happy with the Mountainsmith products I own. They are usually pretty well built and not moron engineered.

The price seems right and as long as it is not overwhelmingly painful to wear, you'll be fine.

The only way it would make a HUGE difference is if you were planning to use your pack several times a year to do very long trips with a very heavy pack.
