what should I get?

I was watching the Home Shopping Network last night, yes I love the HSN and it is extremely hard not to buy stuff on stretch pay, and they had a Canon ZR500, something like that.....

Took wide screen shots, shot better than DVD quality, had 800 x optical zoom, and 25 x digital zoom, had all the other bells and whistles, etc, and the kicker, the man selling the product used a Canon to record all six years of his son's life....

It was selling for 279.00 plus 12.99 shipping, or five payments of 93.33 on stretch pay.....

Good deal? What should I buy?

Need to record things starting on the honeymoon....
