Sleeping in EQ is an unknown quantity at this point
Default A Muslim on Judgmentalism

I just finished an interesting little book, "American: The New Generation Muslims." In one of the last chapters, the author says the following in response to a time she was asked to judge the actions of a fellow Muslim (Mahmoud Abdul Rauf's not wanting to observe the National Anthem, an action with which she disagreed):

"it is written in the Qur'an that we must all read the Qur'an for ourselves and interpret what each passage means for ourselves. If our interpretation was wrong or if we felt someone else's was wrong, we are supposed to let God deal with that on Judgment Day."

This seems healthier than looking at each other sideways over what we think a certain scripture or Conference talk means, or as I said in a Sacrament Meeting talk last fall, over Sabbath Day observance.
