Cranford
The BBC production. Shown on PBS. Based on book by Mrs. Gaskell. Written in the 19th century about a small English town fearing the arrival of the railroad.
I watched it. I now admit it. And I'm not ashamed. How many of us fear the coming of the railroad? Will it bring in riffraff?
