She is the 17yo American female who is doing well in the U.S. Open, after a nice run in Wimbledon as well.

Part of what everyone remarks on, besides her tender age, is her height. She is extremely short. She looks like a midget on the court.

So I go to wikipedia, and it says she is 5'6". My wife is 5'7", maybe 5'8". She is barely shorter than my wife, whom I don't consider a midget.

I guess it's all the other women in tennis who are just taller, and make her seem so short.

Well, here's to an American underdog. We can all root for that. [Unless, she is the daughter of a Frechman. Which unfortunately, she is. So we can root for her to fall on her face, and end up plastered at some community college].
