BYU adds 2014-15 home and home with recent Big East champs

Less than two months after finalizing its 2013 football schedule, BYU announced Monday that it has filled in some blanks on its 2014 and 2015 schedules.

BYU and the University of Connecticut have finalized a home-and-home football agreement that will have the Cougars playing the Huskies at UConn’s Rentschler Field on Aug. 28, 2014 and the Huskies playing at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Oct. 31, 2015.

The season-opening game in 2014 will mark the first football meeting between the Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

The Cougars now have 11 known opponents on their 2014 schedule. They are scheduled to play at UConn, Texas, Boise State, Middle Tennessee State and Central Florida. They will host Virginia, Houston, Utah State, Nevada, Southern Mississippi and UNLV.
